Ethyl 2-Bromoisobutyrate is used as a reagent in the synthesis of novel phenoxyacetamide inhibitors of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa type III secretion system (T3SS). Also used as a reagent in the synthesis of substituted azoles as hepatitis C virus inhibitors.
