Phenylselenyl Bromide is used as a reagent in the synthesis of the antihyperglycemic agent, (+)-Antroquinonol. Phenylselenyl Bromide is also used in the preparation of 9-epi-Artemisinin (A777505); the chiral isomer of Artemisinin (A777500) which is an antimalarial.
