4-(Vinyloxymethyl)cyclohexanemethanol is used as a reagent in the synthesis of acetic acid esters by catalytic oxidation of vinyl ethers with aqueous H2O2 solutions in the presence of palladium catalysts having phosphine ligands and amines. Also used in the synthesis of Si-containing monomers and 4-substituted cyclohexanecarbaldehydes.
