Acetophenone-13C8 is an intermediate in synthesizing Mandelic Acid-13C8 (M162523). It is a C13 labelled Mandelic Acid which is used as an antiseptic (urinary). It is also used as a short-term exposure biomarker in urine from styrene exposed workers.
