Pentafluorophenyl Trifluoroacetate is a reagent in the synthesis of multivalent carbohydrate-centered glycoclusters which are used as nanomolar ligands of bacterial lectin LecA from Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Pentafluorophenyl Trifluoroacetate is also used in the preparation of photocrosslinkable dextran hydrogel films as substrates for osteoblast and endothelial cell growth.
