Hexyl Mercaptan reacts with allyl ethers of phenols in the presence of azobis(isobutyronitrile), the products of which are promising flotation agents. It was also used in the synthesis of carbamo(dithioperoxo)thioates which are potential BCA2-inhibitory anticancer agents.
