Nickel Chloride Hexahydrate is widely used in chemical synthesis. Such reactions include the synthesis of a new water soluble dendritic ligand which may serve as a drug model for development of new antifungal agents. Also used in the synthesis of Ni-doped ZnIn2S4 nanostructured film photoelectrodes which display better photoelectrochemical performance than undoped films and may be used for hydrogen production by water splitting.
